In 1985, inspired by a disastrous concert experience in Tampa’s Cuban Club basement, local record store owner, Gaetano (Tony) Rifugiato and music enthusiast Dave Hundley decided they could do better — and they did. Just weeks later, the duo booked their first show with Suicidal Tendencies, packing the venue and earning a reputation for professionalism that quickly spread across the touring circuit. That one successful night sparked the birth of No Clubs.
Now, 40 years later, No Clubs has grown into a cornerstone of Florida’s live music scene – showcasing artists across all genres, from rock and reggae to electronic, hip-hop, and world music. Immersed in the local community, they’ve proudly partnered with many of the region’s most iconic venues, always guided by the same core belief: the fans and the band are always center stage.
